With pro surfer and TV personality Felicity Palmateer (Flick) and fellow presenter Rob Palmer at the helm, the Axopar 45 Sun Top became more than just a surf boat, it was a launchpad for fishing, wake surfing, whale watching, and pure coastal freedom, all in one unforgettable Sydney day.

The day began in Sydney Harbour, where the sleek lines and unmistakable presence of the Axopar 45 Sun Top turned heads before the engines even started. With triple 300hp Mercury outboards roaring to life, the luxury day cruiser carved through the harbour at over 40 knots, offering panoramic views of the city before venturing offshore into open water.

Once clear of the heads, Flick and Rob threw their lines in, hoping for a catch, but the ocean had other plans. Undeterred, they cruised north toward Shelly Beach, where the tone shifted from action to relaxation. Champagne flowed, canapés were shared, and laughter filled the air as Flick floated peacefully beside the boat while Rob took to a paddleboard, briefly, before swapping it for a surfboard and chasing waves closer to shore.

Later, as the pair made their way back toward Pittwater, the day’s energy reignited. With her board in one and hand and the rope in another, Flick took to the wake behind the Axopar, carving across the surface with a smile that said it all. The Axopar 45, powered by 900hp, delivered the perfect swell for wake surfing, a rare feat for a boat built with such offshore pedigree.
NOTE: despite this story being about two people there were others onboard keeping look out.

As the final light faded and the Axopar glided into Palm Beach, the day came full circle – from harbour to ocean, from thrills to tranquillity, all made possible by one boat built to do it all.
