Proven Design. Trusted Team. Built for Adventure.

Why the Axopar 29 Is the Benchmark for Adventure Boating

From the moment the first Axopar launched in 2014, co-founder Janne Erik Viitala and the team set out to create more than just a boat. They pioneered the adventure boating category, blending thrilling performance with intelligent Scandinavian design to help owners explore further, faster, and more often.

At the core of this success is Jarkko Jämsén, Axopar’s head designer, who has shaped Axopar’s award-winning hulls, known for their twin steps, cutting bows, and unmatched ride quality. This design DNA is evident in every inch of the Axopar 29, ensuring a balanced, agile, and confident driving experience.

The Axopar 29 range continues this legacy, including the Axopar 29 Sun Top (ST), Axopar 29 Cross Cabin (XC), and Axopar 29 Centre Console Crossover (CCX). These 29ft boats combine cutting-edge hull design, modular versatility, and exceptional value, redefining what a dayboat or multipurpose vessel can be. Backed by a reputation for durability, drivability, and award-winning craftsmanship, the Axopar 29 isn’t just another boat; it’s the original adventure vessel reimagined, made to fit your lifestyle and thrive in any condition.

Exclusively represented in Australia and New Zealand by Eyachts, Axopar has made a major impact on local waters since 2015. From the first Axopar 28 to the latest 29-foot boats, Eyachts has now delivered over 350 Axopars across the region, helping boaters explore more, from Sydney to Pittwater, Rottnest, Gold Coast, and island-hopping in the Whitsundays or New Zealand.

Whether you're after a versatile day boat, an offshore-capable cruiser, or a centre console fishing boat, the Axopar 29 range blends performance, reliability, and style in one sleek package. Backed by Eyachts’ award-winning service and support, you're not just buying a 29ft boat, you're joining a proven community of adventurers who expect more from their time on the water.

Axopar 29 Cross Cabin Review for those looking for the best family boat in Australia

Raelyn and Graeme, based in Sydney Harbour, are now two-time Axopar owners, upgrading from the Axopar 28 to the Axopar 29 Cross Cabin, and for them, it’s been a natural progression into more space, comfort, and all-weather versatility for the whole family.

“The boat was far better than the 28, it’s a beautiful boat. It’s a drier ride, there’s more functionality, and a lot more headroom. With kids and grandkids, that extra space makes a big difference. It’s just a really nice progression from where the 28 was. You can use it in any condition, sunny, rainy, day or night, and it’s so safe for the family with everyone inside when you need. Honestly, just buy one.”

The Ultimate Sports Boat for WA Waters: Axopar 28 Cabin Review – David and Jackie

David and Jackie Rafferty from Perth were after a sports boat that could handle WA’s challenging conditions with speed, safety, and comfort, and they found exactly that in the Axopar 28 Cabin.
“It’s the best boat for WA conditions, which are pretty testing at the best of times. It doesn’t matter if there’s a strong sea breeze coming. We’ve come home in 25-knot southwesterlies and the boat was really comfortable. Everyone stays dry and safe. We just close the upwind door and leave the downwind one open, still get great airflow, but stay protected. The living space is like a Swiss Army knife of a boat. Everything turns into something else. It does the job really, really well.” – says David
“It’s like a sports car on water. We love how fast it goes and how smooth it is. It’s so versatile for day trips and overnighting.” – says Jackie.

Versatile, Reliable, and Just Fun: A Real Owner’s Mandurah Axopar 28 T-Top Review

Rob Hammond lives in Mandurah, Western Australia, and uses his Axopar 28 T-Top for everything from estuary dolphin cruises to offshore solo adventures to Rottnest.
“I’ve had boats for most of my working life. These are just phenomenal,” Rob says. “They’re absolutely fabulous in the sea. I use it quite a bit on my own — it’s really easy to manhandle. She’s so versatile, you can just do anything. I often go dolphin watching in the estuary. My wife loves it too because you’ve got full access all the way around. And you can still sleep on it in the cabin.”

Axopar 28 Review – Graeme

Graeme, a sailor turned Axopar owner explains, “there isn’t any other speedboat I would buy aside from an Axopar, it goes through waves like a sailing boat does”. Adding that with Eyachts, “I feel like I’m part of the family.”

Axopar 28 Owner Review – The Flemings

“We love the Axopar, it fulfils all our needs with the enclosed helm and how quiet and peaceful it is with the doors closed and retractable roof open. It rides well at 25kts and is easy to manoeuvre”.

Axopar Owner Review

3 Time Eyachts Owner Review – Dave

Dave owned his 28 T-Top for only 6 short months before upgrading to a 37 Sun Top and now with a 28 Cabin, so I think it is safe to say he has a bit of experience with Axopars. “With the twin outboards, the boat jumps on the plain before you can think about it… In the cabin with the doors slightly ajar you could hold a conversation at any speeds, even up to 38 to 40 knots. When at anchor if you open everything up there is a good flow for conversation across the boat.”

Axopar 28 Review – Georgie

“The Axopar is so easy to handle I can head out at any time in any condition. The Axopar is a sexy sports car. A convertible with opening doors and roof which allow full control of the amount of sun and wind one experiences.”
– Georgie, Axopar 28, Sydney
