Rob Hammond lives in Mandurah, Western Australia, and uses his Axopar 28 T-Top for everything from estuary dolphin cruises to offshore solo adventures to Rottnest.
“I’ve had boats for most of my working life. These are just phenomenal,” Rob says. “They’re absolutely fabulous in the sea. I use it quite a bit on my own — it’s really easy to manhandle. She’s so versatile, you can just do anything. I often go dolphin watching in the estuary. My wife loves it too because you’ve got full access all the way around. Dave owned his 28 T-Top for only 6 short months before upgrading to a 37 Sun Top and now with a 28 Cabin, so I think it is safe to say he has a bit of experience with Axopars. “With the twin outboards, the boat jumps on the plain before you can think about it… In the cabin with the doors slightly ajar you could hold a conversation at any speeds, even up to 38 to 40 knots. When at anchor if you open everything up there is a good flow for conversation across the boat.”
