Eyachts Owners Event Queensland, Adventure & Community

Queensland Axopar & Pardo Australia Owners Event

The 2026 Eyachts Owners Event Queensland brought together an incredible fleet of 16 passionate boaters, Axopar and Pardo owners travelling from across South East Queensland for a day that perfectly captured what the Eyachts community is all about, adventure, camaraderie, offshore capability and unforgettable experiences on the water.

Owners departed from their home marinas and waterways throughout the morning, with the Gold Coast fleet gathering at the head of the Coomera River while Brisbane boats formed their own convoy further north. From there, the boats united and began the journey toward Russell Island.

Conditions certainly put both crews and boats to the test.

With 25-knot winds and rough seas rolling through Moreton Bay, the voyage became a real demonstration of what Axopar and Pardo Yachts are designed for. While many boats would retreat in these conditions, the fleet pushed on comfortably, showcasing the capable performance, reliability and confidence these boats are known for.

For many owners, it was one of the most memorable parts of the day.

A Tropical Oasis at Canaipa

The destination for the event was Canaipa on Russell Island, operated by the Royal Queensland Yacht Squadron.

Arriving at the venue felt like discovering a hidden tropical oasis in the middle of Moreton Bay. Vibrant green lawns, coconut trees and waterfront views created the perfect backdrop for the afternoon, while the large open-air entertaining space offered welcome shelter from the strong winds outside.

Guests were treated to a fully catered seafood feast featuring oysters, prawns, bugs and fresh sashimi, accompanied by flowing bubbles and plenty of conversation between owners who, for many, were meeting for the very first time.

What makes events like these so special is the shared connection between owners. Despite coming from different backgrounds and boating experiences, there is an instant understanding among people who share the same passion for adventure boating.

An Aussie Twist on an Axopar Tradition

After lunch, the fleet headed out onto the lawn for one of the highlights of the day, thong throwing.

Inspired by the famous gumboot throwing contests seen at Axopar events overseas, the Queensland owners put a uniquely Australian spin on the tradition. What followed was plenty of laughter, friendly competition and a reminder that boating events are just as much about the people as they are about the boats.

Throughout the afternoon, stories were shared about offshore trips, favourite anchorages, future adventures and life on the water, all helping strengthen what has become one of the most passionate boating communities in Australia.

A Community That Continues to Grow

As the afternoon faded into evening and the sun began to set, owners slowly made their way back toward their marinas, jetties and home ports across Queensland.

Despite the challenging conditions earlier in the day, everyone returned with full bellies, new friendships and an even stronger sense of community.

The Eyachts Owners Event Queensland continues to show that boating is about far more than simply owning a boat. It is about shared experiences, confidence to explore, and connecting with like-minded people who love being out on the water.
