Celebrating 250 Axopars
The Eyachts and Axopar love affair began in 2015 when the Eyachts team first laid eyes on the original Axopar 28 Range, only 1 year into production. At the time, Axopar was a niche boat, and the day boat concept was unorthodox and highly criticised.
In late 2022, Eyachts surpassed 250 Axopars down under, two years after celebrating the 100 mark.
“At our first boat shows with Axopars, visitors would say things like ‘What would I do with that’, but I knew these unique yet versatile boats were the next big thing”, says Peter Hrones, Eyachts Managing director.
Since the inception of Axopar, the dayboat market has grown significantly, and Eyachts is proud to have been at the forefront of this boating revolution.
“The statistics show that 80%+ of people don’t sleep onboard their boats, this is why we believed in the day boat concept, even when the idea was foreign to many boaties at the time. People who have had larger cruisers in the past began choosing to downsize due to ease of handling, maintenance and a multitude of other reasons,” added Peter.
THE ALL-ROUNDER
Now Axopar has placed their stakes as the leader in adventure boats, not simply a day boat, not simply a fishing boat and not a wake boat, but a boat that does it all.
Owners looking for an adventure, both on water or on land, are constantly thinking of unique ways to use their Axopar, not only; wakeboarding, donuting, waterskiing and freediving but also rock climbing, mountain biking and more…
Axopars are now also the go-to for professional skippers seeking a vessel that is easy to maneuvering when docking alongside superyachts. Eyachts are now also selling increasingly more Axopars into charter nationwide.
PERFORMANCE AT THE CORE
Axopar is now renowned for their award-winning performance and handling that enable owners to travel offshore from Sydney to Pittwater or from Perth to Rottnest without second-guessing the conditions. Owners can enjoy day trips to the outer reef in the Whitsundays or travel from the Gold Coast to Tangalooma in one day.
All Axopar models offer high speeds and low fuel consumption, due to their innovative and efficient hull design, each features Axopars iconic twin-stepped hull and cutting bow. Not only does this allow Axopars to provide competitive ranges but also provides a comfortable ride.
With Axopar, the possibilities are endless, and it is clear that boaties downunder have seen that too.
‘It was different to anything else on the market. Initially, no one thought this niche boat would be in such demand around the world. Now, Eyachts have reached the incredible milestone of 250 Axopars sold downunder in 2022. It is great to see that Australians and New Zealanders have adopted the innovative hull design and are taking full advantage of their on-water adventures Downunder with Axopar,” summarised Hrones.

David and Melissa O’Connor, owners of an Axopar 37 Cross Cabin and now a four-time Axopar owners, have experienced just about every side of the brand. From two Axopar 28s to an Axopar 37 Sun Top and now the Cross Cabin, David says each boat has reinforced why he continues to choose Axopar for his family’s adventures on the Gold Coast.
“It’s an all weather boat, and it’s a fast boat. We can zip up to Tangalooma or Peel Island and go a little bit further than most Gold Coast boaties. It’s its ability to go fast and be economical, and I just love the look of it.”

Axopar 25 Review: Why This 25 Foot Boat Is the Perfect Adventure Companion
Connor, owner of an Axopar 25, has discovered that great adventures don’t require a big boat. From overnight stays and offshore whale watching to entertaining the largest crew at an owners event, the Axopar 25 has proven to be the perfect all-rounder for his lifestyle.
“The 25 is perfect. We can sleep on it, still fit plenty of people, and it’s probably one of the only boats I’ve had where you can take it out in messy conditions and everyone stays dry and comfortable. It’s the most versatile, perfect little boat for us.”
